The Last Question - v0.987
Well this game is now officially too large for Itch, apologies for the Onedrive link!
I first submitted The Last Question to Improve My Game Jam #14 almost 3 years ago, and in that time this has evolved from a small platformer concept to something I'd describe as almost a "real" game. However, not a lot of people have played it in the last year+ and I definitely would love some criticism on the newer parts of it.
This is definitely a bigger commitment to play than I imagine most other submissions will be (starting with the 1gb download), so definitely understand if you pass over it, but if anyone is willing to give it a shot and provide some feedback, I will happily give full playtester credit when I hopefully get to a full release of this!
Since I last submitted this game, a few major changes have been implemented:
- Full Graphics Overhaul: Image/Animation generation tools have really allowed this game to come together in a way I never thought it could. A lot of this game at this point has what I would describe as really production ready art. For example, the below are changes to an important lore room over the last 4 years
- New levels, and redesigns of existing levels: After the feedback from the last submission, I have reworked almost every existing challenge to be a better overall experience for the player based through a number of different methods. Some levels have been made easier, some harder, some faster, etc
- New Systems and Stories: The entire "guts" of this game have been renovated and it is now a much more fully connected game
Would love to know all your thoughts!
